Fora Office Space Referral Scheme - Germany
Last Updated: 16 April 2024
How to refer a friend to Fora:
Who can refer?
All clients and Fora members in Germany can be referrers, regardless of whether they are individual people or companies/organisations
Who can I refer?
Refer interested parties/new clients for work or co-working space (home and roam) that lead to a conclusion of contract with Fora Germany
What will I receive?
One-off referral bonus for referrers that is 5% of the net contractual value, up to a maximum of 20,000 EUR
And here are a few details about the conditions of the referral program:
Referrers can be an individual person (natural person) or a company or organisation (legal person). The referrer must inform us whether they are making the referral on their own (as an individual person) or as a person within a company (e.g. managing director of the company), as the type of payment made for the referral bonus is dependent on this.
The referral bonus will either be paid to the individual person or company/organisation that referred the new client accordingly. The client must be new to Fora and may not have already been referred by another referrer, broker, or otherwise have registered an interest with Fora or be registered in the system. Fora will not pay a referral bonus if the client was already known to Fora before the referral.
The referral bonus for office spaces depends on the net contractual value. This is calculated from the net monthly licence fee (without VAT, further costs incurred for other services) and the contractual period agreed, for a maximum of 12 months. The maximum referral bonus will not exceed 20,000 EUR in any case (cap).
The referral bonus for co-working is a flat rate of 100.00 EUR, provided the new client’s contract is for at least 3 complete, consecutive calendar months.
How does it work?
In order to receive a referral bonus, the referrer must inform Fora about the referral itself and the name of the referrer before the contract with the new client has been concluded. Best practice is for the potential new client to mention the referrer by name when first making contact with Fora, or for the referrer to inform Fora of the referral in advance by emailing [email protected]
Fora will pay the one-off referral bonus for office spaces to the referrer within 3 weeks of the contract with the new client being signed, the deposit being paid, the new client moving in and, if applicable, the correct referrer invoice being received by Fora.
The referral fee for co-working will be paid to the referrer within 3 weeks if the new client has concluded a contract with a minimum term of 6 months and has already fulfilled this for 3 months. If applicable, receipt of a proper invoice to Fora is also required.
Individuals will receive a credit note from Fora, which will be paid via bank transfer. The referrer is obligated to pay tax on this assessment as part of their income tax assessment (in accordance with 22(3) of the German Income Tax Act [EStG]). The credit note will include the referral bonus plus any applicable sales tax.
Companies and organisations must submit an invoice for brokerage fees plus sales tax to Fora, which Fora will pay, via bank transfer, within 30 days of proper invoicing.
General info:
Referrers and co-worker referees are responsible for ensuring that they are not prohibited either by contract or any statutory or legal obligation or duty from accepting a fee/co-worker fee; Fora accepts no liability in respect of a failure by a referrer or referee to adhere to this term.
